Sojourners UMW Circle

Sojourners meet the third Monday of every month at 2:00 pm in the homes of one of the members. They discuss any old and new business, have a devotion, and have a program provided by the host which comes from Response, New World Outlook, or we use the Program Book for United Methodist Women.

Circle members coordinate the collection of donations for Neighborhood Service Organizations.
2009 monthly donations are planned as follows:

July—hygiene kits
August—bath towels
September—kitchen towels
October—dishes/silverware
November—baby items
December- Christmas gifts.

2009 Chairperson is Karen Frazier at 354-1900.

Koinonia Circle

The Koinonia Circle meets the first Wednesday of the month from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the church parlor. It is for women of all ages to come together to fellowship, study, and serve. We strive to get better acquainted with other Christian women and learn from one another. We study a variety of topics through video series, motivational speakers, book reviews, and other programming.

We also have hands-on demonstrations and hands-on projects that will promise to spark interest. We collect donations for the Neighborhood Services Organization as our mission service project. At each monthly meeting, we have a lunch theme and everyone brings a dish to share.

We also discuss any business, have a program, and just enjoy visiting with each other.

If you would like to join this circle or visit us, please contact Rhonda Burress at 376-1781.

Servants of Shepherd Circle

Servants of the Shepherd circle focuses on mission work on the community. We meet the fourth Thursday of each month, 7:00 p.m. in the church parlor.

Outreach projects may include providing lunches and meals to senior citizens and special church groups, assisting Neighborhood Service Organizations in a variety of ways, visiting our homebound, and maintaining our Matha’s House apartment. We are always searching for better ways to serve our community through our mission and outreach programs.

If you would like to join this circle or need further information, please contact Janet Bolton at 324-0641.

Reflections Circle

Reflections Circle is a book-reading circle that meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 in the church parlor. Our focus is on reading and discussing an assortment of information and educational books.

We also strive to provide items that are needed by our local charitable organizations.

For further information contact Cassie Purifoy at 354-5556.
